FAQ
What makes the True Strike gel section different from a standard hitting mat?
Standard hitting mats use a firm foam or rubber base that can cause significant shock to your wrists, elbows, and shoulders over time. The True Strike gel section is designed to mimic the give of natural turf, allowing the club to pass through the strike zone in a way that closely replicates a real divot. This dramatically reduces joint strain and provides much more accurate feedback on your strike quality.
Can both a left-handed and right-handed golfer use this mat at the same time?
The Double Model features two separate hitting zones - one optimized for left-handed players and one for right-handed players. While both zones are on the same mat, they are positioned so that two golfers can alternate or use the mat in a shared session without needing to move or reconfigure anything.
Is this mat suitable for use in a home golf simulator?
Absolutely. The True Strike Double Model is well-suited for home simulator bays thanks to its generous dimensions, non-slip base, and realistic turf feedback. Its 110" width provides plenty of room for a natural stance and full swing, and the gel sections work seamlessly with launch monitors and simulator setups.
Does the mat require any assembly before use?
The mat arrives largely ready to use. You will need to insert the gel sections and tee receiver into the mat base, which is a straightforward process. All necessary components - gel sections, tee receiver, tees, and ball tray - are included in the box.
